Good god, she's fast! He backs up further, answering that deadly flurry with a barrage of swords and knives, greataxes and spears and halberds, blue and red hard light flashing through the air. It becomes obvious how solid and, moreover, sharp they are if they hit her or, really, anything else. He steps and pivots and strikes faster than any normal human, yes, but not quite as fast as she does.
He runs out of space and ducks, rolling to the side as her fist cracks the stone behind him. He's going to have to outsmart her. The question is, how? A kick sends him to the floor with a startled yelp, and he rolls out of the path of another strike. Start with the basics, he decides as he snaps to his feet. So he sidesteps and throws a knife. Sidesteps and flings a sword. He continues circling in this manner, attempting to lead a spiral path and confuse her.
