She wasn't wrong with the way Vash groaned and started to stir. They had even taken into their calculations how his healing body would burn through the sedition. Vash tries to sit up once his mind starts coming back to him, but is held down in place by the restraints. "No! NO!" His eyes next noticing Azwel on the bed next to him and then the researcher.
"Don't do this! Please! I beg you!" It was real, honest begging. "At this rate you'll kill him!"
She tsks away Vash's concern. "Please. We know you've dealt with reckless researchers in the past, but don't judge us the same way. His mind is still useful to us. We will not do anything that will kill him." Discomfort and pain? That was something else entirely. "Besides, if he were to die this world would resurrect him once again. There is no need for your distress."
Vash looks towards his friend. Guilt clearly in his eyes. "I'm sorry." Once again, like their first meeting, Vash has made things worse instead of helping his friend.
