He could try doing that, but his curiosity gets the better of him and he starts the security video instead.
The grainy footage shows a few people clustered around Azwel, who is strapped into a chair and apparently drugged, affixing the device to his head. It doesn't seem to be doing much until they activate it, which sends the screen Azwel into violent convulsions. Well, that explains why he's restrained, anyway.
"Hm," he says vaguely. "That explains a few things."
