Perhaps it's simply that Carden is very similar to Felicity, but without the same kind of edges-- she is all artifice and cunning where he is a kind of straight-forward honesty and yet, both of them are undeniably both smart and a bit sly, mischievous. Carden lacks both the experience and wiles which his sister has in spades, but he's the same kind of daring and that's been combined, in him, with a magical energy that is highly unique. He's made no move yet to use it, at least not that Azwel's been able to detect, but it stirs and settles in response to Azwel's own explorations, like ripples across a pond.

"Well... I am already here because of one scandal..." he hedges when they part and he's equally breathless, flushed, "I supposed there's no reason to stop collecting them now." It's said perhaps a bit more lightly than he feels. If he wasn't so convinced he'd been set up by his sister, he wouldn't have really considered going along with this-- at least not so quickly. He knows himself well enough to know that he would stand no chance if Azwel actively tried to seduce him, though, regardless of how quickly he agreed.
