To be perfectly honest, he's not sure what's happening right now, either. When she leans into him again one arm slips instinctively around her.
"They bear the essences of Order and Chaos," he says a bit faintly. "And they've never reacted like that to another person before." He wonders, briefly, if they're reacting to the presence of a vampire. Nonsense--if that were the case, they would have done so already. Or maybe, without himself as the catalyst, the energies aren't filtered enough and thus react more markedly to their environment....
And then he notices he's got someone in his arms. He notices how chilly her skin feels, how a strange energy seems to animate her instead of a pulse.
